“My vision for my paintings and murals is deeply affected by the viewer. I want the viewer to be touched and overwhelmed by emotions from a simple smile to a feeling of admiration. Nothing makes me more happy then seeing someone smile and knowing that I touched their heart with my artwork.”
In the name “Mural Artistry by Sherity”:
The name “Mural Artistry” came about when Sheri was wanting to accentuate her natural artistic talent in painting murals and by emphasizing that “extra touch” an artist has when faux painting. The name “Sherity” came from Mix 93.3, Kansas City’s # 1 hit music radio station, when she had entered into one of their contests to try and win a new car to give to charity (Survive It to Drive It). 15% of all her earnings goes toward charities and her church. She wanted her name “ by Sheri” to be included, but also adding the hidden message “charity” into the name of her business. “This is who I am. I love art and I love helping people and the community. All who know me, knows that I always put other people before me and I never stop smiling.” |
